Performance Improvement, Recovery & Rehabilitation Therapy
Headache, Migraine & TMJ Massage
This 1 hour session will focus entirely on your head, neck and shoulders. The goal of this session is to decompress your cranium and face, including (with your permission) releases done inside the mouth. The massage therapist will also show you, if you are interested, techniques you can do for yourself at home.
Myofascial Release (MFR)
Myofascial Release (or MFR) takes a slower and deeper approach, focusing on creating a therapeutic effect. MFR is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. The aim is to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles. Margo uses the guiding principles of Anatomy Trains® (For more information visit anatomytrains.com) to analyze your posture, look for restrictions, and then guide your body back into a balanced posture.
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)
Fascial Stretch Therapy(TM) is a unique, complete and complementary system of table-based assisted stretching, focusing on the fascia and joint capsule as the key elements in achieving optimal flexibility, strength, performance and pain relief. For more information about Fascial Stretch Therapy, including videos showing some of the techniques being used, please visit stretchtowin.com.
Massage Cupping is a modern adaptation of the ancient art of cupping therapy. While massage performed by applying pressure, cupping instead uses negative pressure to pull, lift, open and expand the body’s soft tissues.
Kinesio Taping/Rock Tape
The Kinesio Taping® Method is a therapeutic taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the massage setting. Margo is Certified in Levels I & II. (For more information visit kinesiotaping.com/about/kinesio-taping-method).
